Minimum age for competition is 35 years

For Walking Basketball, the minimum age is 50 years

• Women 35+, Men 35+ (Men 35+ only chose DIV 1 & DIV 2)
• Women 45+, Men 45+
• Women 55+, Men 55+
• Women 65+, Men 65+
• Mixed Walking basketball 50+

• The competition draw will be finalised after team registrations close and published on the Games website.
• A team’s division will be determined by the age of the youngest player in the team.
• Each team can have a minimum of 7 players and maximum of 12 players
• Players are not permitted to play in more than one team in the same age group.
• Players may play in more than one age category i.e., 45+ and 55+.
• Age groups may be amalgamated for round robin competition depending upon the number of team entries in each age group. However, medals will still be awarded based on age groups.
• You must pay a separate sport fee for each team in which you participate.
• The Team Manager is responsible for registering the team and entering each player's name and email address. Each player will then receive an email invitation to join the team, complete their registration, and pay their fees.
• Team Managers can download the Player Registration Details Form to collect the information required from each player
• If a player does not receive their invitation email, they should check their spam or junk folder
• Players can also register individually and enter their team name during registration. Please ensure the team name is spelt correctly.
• Players who do not have a team can register as an individual Basketball competitor and enter "I need a team" when prompt to enter a team name. The Basketball organiser will allocate players to a team where possible.

• Competition will be conducted under the Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA) rules.
• The competition is presented by Cairns Basketball, sanctioned by Queensland Basketball.
