2025 GBRMG Sports Convenors - Expression of Interest
Cairns Regional Council is call for Expressions of Interest in becoming a Sport Convenor for the 2025 GBRMG
As can be seen below, in 2023 there were 18 sports registered, with over 2500 masters athletes competing in and around the Cairns region.
If you area local sporting club or governing body, please review and submit the 2025 Great Barrier Reef Masters Games - Sports Convenor Expression of Interest Form and become part of the increasingly popular biennial sporting event.
With 18 sports signed-on there was something for everyone at the 2023 Great Barrier Reef Masters Games.

All sports and the Opening Ceremony are free for spectators to attend. If spectators would like to attend any of the social events they must purchase a "Supporter Pass". All social event attendee will need to show there GBRMG lanyard ID prior to entry; these can be purchased online via the athlete registration site.
Supporters passes can not be purchased at social events; they must be purchased in advance and collect from the Registration Hub during open hours.
Supporters will also receive registration kit bag on check in at the Registration Hub.
Games Registration Fee in addition to sport fee:
Please note, the Games registration fee will only be charged once to each athlete, no matter how many different sports you choose to compete in. Each individual sport attracts it's own sports fee.
- Early Bird #1 - $69 per person (ends 31 Aug 2022) in addition to sport fee.
- Early Bird #2 - $71 per person (end 31 Dec 2022)
- Nominal Registration - $89 per person (end 25 May 2023)
