    Thursday - Official Opening Ceremony

    The Opening Ceremony of the Great Barrier Reef Masters Games is always a night to remember, and the sixth biennial event promises to be even more spectacular. Who will join us to play in 2025? There could be some special surprises in store – stay tuned!

    The official Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Great Barrier Reef Masters Games will include:
    • A march-past by all athletes and non-playing officials
    • Great entertainment and musicians
    • Officiated by Games Ambassador, Ash Brazill
    • The lighting of the Games Cauldron, which will stay alight until the end of the Games

    Everyone is encouraged to dress in themed costumes and team branding for the first night of the Games. Spectators are welcome to come along and watch the Opening Ceremony.

    The Opening Ceremony will lead straight into the Opening Party!
