Road Race: The Green Hill Road Race commences from Norman Park, Gordonvale, with a neutral start to Greenhill.
Criterium: Cairns Esplanade

Minimum Age

Minimum age for competition is 30 years. Age is determined as at 31 December 2023.

Track: $15 per person

Track Racing
On Friday night, track racing will commence from 6:30pm with formats to be chosen on the night.

Green Hill Road Race
Contested over a 7.5km circuit, the GBRMG Green Hill Road Race is a kermesse style event. The course offers varying terrain, including undulations and flatter sections, with the afternoon crosswinds providing additional challenges. Race lengths will vary between categories from 5-10 laps and will be determined by the race officials upon final race registration. With the course being only 25km from Cairns, participants can safely ride to the start line; this is the desired arrival.

Esplanade Criterium
The Esplanade Criterium, or crit, is a bike race that consists of several laps around a street circuit, typically between 800m to 2.1km. The Esplanade course is 800m set in the centre of Cairns - with the Great Barrier Reef as the backdrop, creating a postcard location for racing. The tight short circuit - is sure to create some fast and interesting racing. Duration and grading will be determined on the morning of the event and will be between 30-45 minutes, plus 3 laps.

Race License's
All participants must be licensed with AudCycling.
Presentation of a valid membership is contingent to being able to race.

*Racing groups will be determined by Masters age categories (MAS 1-10) with numbers determining combinations of categories racing each other. It will be the Handicappers intent to ensure competitive and fair racing for all participants.
